World students Day is celebrated every year on 15 October. It is celebrated to commemorate the birthday of the 11th President of India, Mr A.P.J. Abdul Kalam. Due to his love for students and focus on promoting education, the United Nations declared his birthday in 2010 to celebrate World Students Day on October 15th every year. International Students day is celebrated on 17th November, every year. The date of November 17th was chosen to be commemorated as International Students’ Day due to the events that took place in Prague during World War II.
